This game is revving to go, so we're going to start things off with a pre-opening TEST DRIVE MEME. This meme will be open up until the game opens properly, so please keep checking back with it and tag anyone who posts a little later. :)

TO START US OFF....

A. The mundane!

1) > You have discovered a portal to the meat dimension. Congratulations, you're at Chinese Diner Aiya! The rainy day challenge sure is difficult... But maybe this time you can make it.

2) > Every day's great at your Junes! You've run into each other at Junes! Maybe you're buying a Jack Frost Doll, or a magic set. Or maybe you're just getting groceries.

3) > Off to school you go. Class, quizzes, creepy teachers, clubs, and Social Linking ahoy!

4) > So you need some money to buy that Rise doll you saw at Junes, why not get a job? Frustrating co-workers, meeting people you may or may not recognize as customers. Get ready for the usual "I didn't know you worked here!" talk, because it's coming your way.

B. The extraordinary!

1) > You wake up on a mysterious train, and so has the person right next to you. You have no idea what train this is, where it's headed, or how you came to be there, and it seems like neither does your new friend. Why not chat about it?

2) > Your first venture inside the TV World. How does it go? How do you get there? And most importantly, who are you going with?

3) > There are three enemies! But holy shit this is your first fight, how are you going to handle this? Good thing you've got party members to help you out!

Mn... [He looks off to the side with a bit of a sour look on his face.] Experience.

[reveiller]

[ ... it's an interesting reaction. he lets the silence sit a little, watching the way his feet rest against the base of the metal seat, before speaking again. the sound of the train reverberates. ]

You know, wandering albatrosses can fly on without touching land for years.

[bystander]

[And with that, the sour expression disappears and he faces Fuji again.]It's as if they don't know the meaning of fatigue. Kinda amazing.

[reveiller]

[ a hum. ] This conversation kind of reminded me of them, for some reason.

[bystander]

[He looks a bit confused here.]

This conversation--

[bystander]

... ... ...

Are you comparing me to an albatross?

[reveiller]

[ he pauses here, before shaking his head. ]

Wouldn't that make this conversation too deep?

[bystander]

[WHAT WAS WITH THAT PAUSE-- He's still staring at you a bit, Fuji.]

I don't know... You can make it sound deep if you're the type that likes to engage in deep philosophical discussions.

[Ryouku pauses for a moment himself. He doesn't like using big words.]

But then again, I probably wouldn't understand. I don't usually relate conversations with animals.

[reveiller]

[ and he takes the stare with a rueful chuckle. ]

Well, people usually wouldn't, so I think you're fairly standard on that one.

I don't know, this conversation just reminded me of it, a little. [ he hums. ] Have you ever seen an albatross in flight?

[bystander]

Not really. I only heard about it.

[Then he snickers.]

Did it fascinate you?

[reveiller]

A little! But because it wasn't as dramatic as I'd thought it'd be.

[bystander]

Dramatic? You're talking about like how in television, the camera angles always change every two seconds with improvements on lighting and stuff?

I guess that would be a type of dramatic.

[reveiller]

Also the sort of dramatic that carries weight, you know?

[ he pauses for a moment, as though trying to think of how to describe it. ] Albatrosses have a lot of poetic connotations to them, but in flight, they look just like seagulls.

[bystander]

Usually if something is dramatic, it seems important. It's not like you would be dramatically tell everyone that you're breathing when you've been able to do it just fine beforehand.

So in comparison, there are all different sorts of things about people that you can't really describe, but when you look at them as a whole, they don't seem special? Or something like that...

[reveiller]

No, I think I understand what you mean.

[ he leans back here, a little, looking up to the ceiling this time. ] Something like... no matter what subtle thing an albatross might mean, sometimes, it really is just a seagull?

[bystander]

Right! Yeah, something like that. [For a moment, he seemed excited about Fuji interpreting his comparison correctly, but immediately calmed down because that was certainly not something one should get excited over... Yeah. EMBARRASSING.]

[reveiller]

[ he actually looks over to watch the reaction, fascinated. he's actually a very dynamic person, isn't he. he let's the silence sit for a moment, before speaking again.

his words are slow and thoughtful-- ]

That makes me feel a little better, I think.

[bystander]

W-What exactly? [By that silence, Ryouku guesses that Fuji actually noticed his excited state, even if it was for a split second. His confidence in his voice seems to falter a bit as he asks, because he became self-aware of his own actions.]

[reveiller]

[ why was he faltering? was it because he's become self-conscious? he tilts his head, then smiles a little. ruefully-- ]

About the albatrosses.

[ he feels better for not having seen what made the albatross majestic during that time, because there wasn't anything to be seen. or perhaps he feels better about the lonely thought of the other boy traveling the world like a wandering albatross. he leaves it ambiguous on purpose. ]

[bystander]

[... Even the king of vague wouldn't be able to figure that out, Fuji. Congratulations, you have Ryouku totally fooled. But he regains his mental foothold and calms down completely.]

Do they soothe your soul?

[reveiller]

[ ah, well. he's been told that talking to him is like an exercise in frustration. he looks up at the question. ]

Mm, a bit. Even if they're sometimes sad to think about.

Do you like them? Albatrosses.

[bystander]

Like them? I guess I'm neutral about them, but I do wonder about them flying for an insanely long period of time. I can understand flying to get to a destination you want, but to fly around aimlessly makes it sound like you're just killing time until the inevitable comes.

[reveiller]

Kind of like this train ride?

[bystander]

... [He looks off to the side with a slight wave of dread washing over him.]

I don't think I want to stay on a train until the day I die.

[reveiller]

[ he'd reach over and pat your hand if he was more touchy-feely. but alas. sympathetically-- ] It could be worse. It could be a boat.
