This game is revving to go, so we're going to start things off with a pre-opening TEST DRIVE MEME. This meme will be open up until the game opens properly, so please keep checking back with it and tag anyone who posts a little later. :)

TO START US OFF....

A. The mundane!

1) > You have discovered a portal to the meat dimension. Congratulations, you're at Chinese Diner Aiya! The rainy day challenge sure is difficult... But maybe this time you can make it.

2) > Every day's great at your Junes! You've run into each other at Junes! Maybe you're buying a Jack Frost Doll, or a magic set. Or maybe you're just getting groceries.

3) > Off to school you go. Class, quizzes, creepy teachers, clubs, and Social Linking ahoy!

4) > So you need some money to buy that Rise doll you saw at Junes, why not get a job? Frustrating co-workers, meeting people you may or may not recognize as customers. Get ready for the usual "I didn't know you worked here!" talk, because it's coming your way.

B. The extraordinary!

1) > You wake up on a mysterious train, and so has the person right next to you. You have no idea what train this is, where it's headed, or how you came to be there, and it seems like neither does your new friend. Why not chat about it?

2) > Your first venture inside the TV World. How does it go? How do you get there? And most importantly, who are you going with?

3) > There are three enemies! But holy shit this is your first fight, how are you going to handle this? Good thing you've got party members to help you out!

Right! Yeah, something like that. [For a moment, he seemed excited about Fuji interpreting his comparison correctly, but immediately calmed down because that was certainly not something one should get excited over... Yeah. EMBARRASSING.]

[reveiller]

[ he actually looks over to watch the reaction, fascinated. he's actually a very dynamic person, isn't he. he let's the silence sit for a moment, before speaking again.

his words are slow and thoughtful-- ]

That makes me feel a little better, I think.

[bystander]

W-What exactly? [By that silence, Ryouku guesses that Fuji actually noticed his excited state, even if it was for a split second. His confidence in his voice seems to falter a bit as he asks, because he became self-aware of his own actions.]

[reveiller]

[ why was he faltering? was it because he's become self-conscious? he tilts his head, then smiles a little. ruefully-- ]

About the albatrosses.

[ he feels better for not having seen what made the albatross majestic during that time, because there wasn't anything to be seen. or perhaps he feels better about the lonely thought of the other boy traveling the world like a wandering albatross. he leaves it ambiguous on purpose. ]

[bystander]

[... Even the king of vague wouldn't be able to figure that out, Fuji. Congratulations, you have Ryouku totally fooled. But he regains his mental foothold and calms down completely.]

Do they soothe your soul?

[reveiller]

[ ah, well. he's been told that talking to him is like an exercise in frustration. he looks up at the question. ]

Mm, a bit. Even if they're sometimes sad to think about.

Do you like them? Albatrosses.

[bystander]

Like them? I guess I'm neutral about them, but I do wonder about them flying for an insanely long period of time. I can understand flying to get to a destination you want, but to fly around aimlessly makes it sound like you're just killing time until the inevitable comes.

[reveiller]

Kind of like this train ride?

[bystander]

... [He looks off to the side with a slight wave of dread washing over him.]

I don't think I want to stay on a train until the day I die.

[reveiller]

[ he'd reach over and pat your hand if he was more touchy-feely. but alas. sympathetically-- ] It could be worse. It could be a boat.

[bystander]

[He was about to blabber something about "YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND", but he keeps his mouth shut. Now imagining spending eternity on a boat--]

I'd request a mercy kill.

[reveiller]

[ oh bby. :c and yeah, it's pretty horrifying, isn't it. fuck boats. ]

If only there were sharks?

[bystander]

If only there were sharks...

[He does the dramatic hand to forehead thing and puts his hand down shortly after.]

Wouldn't you die of starvation first anyway?

[reveiller]

Doesn't dehydration come first?

[ wow, so dramatic. he follows suit with a hand to his chin. ]

[bystander]

Dehydration, huh... [Hmm.] I guess it depends on how much you eat per day. Those who eat a lot tend to suffer more, constantly whining, "I'M HUNGRY" every five minutes or so.

[reveiller]

[ .. that sounds like someone he knows. ] So is that where all those packs of Milano's would've backfired on you?

[ asked innocently. though he seems to think about this. ] I'm not sure if I'd like that, though. In situations like that, people tend to showcase the worst of themselves.

[bystander]

Hey, hey, hey. I like them, but it's not like I would have devoured 30 of those at once, okay.

[bystander]

[He ponders on that for a bit.] ... And yeah. That's a given. People are put under stress and their power of self-control diminishes because they have to focus on multiple stressful things and the same time.

[reveiller]

Stressful situations also put people in a position to make difficult decisions.

[ he looks to the side, as though peering about the train. ] Nobody wants to make a choice that they'll be hated for, but sometimes it can't be helped. [ philosophically-- ] But if surviving means being hated, then surviving might not be something they can live with.

[bystander]

... Heeeh...

[He peers over at Fuji in a bit of a curious manner, wondering if he had something like a survivor's guilt from the way he spoke. Ryouku decides not to say anything about that though. Although he could relate to that statement well--]

So then, would it better off that whoever can't handle it are dead?

[reveiller]

[ nope. not survivor's guilt. but in a way, it's deeply tied to his guilt about his brotherrrrrrr. don't let his brocon show...

he looks up in surprise. then, blinks. ]

Well, I don't know. Who's to judge?

[bystander]

T-- [He was about to answer Fuji as if on reflex, but then he stops himself before he says anything meaningful, if at all. The pause lasts about three seconds and here comes Ryouku's attempt to smooth things over.]

There's only you, right? You only judge yourself. By judging, you need to understand the other person's perspective that leads up to the action... and not anybody can fully understand things because you would have to share the same exact upbringing and experience and there's nobody that can share that.

[bystander]

By that logic, nobody has the right to judge another person.

That's all.

[reveiller]

[ .. welp, the pause is definitely curious. he watches ryouku quietly while he speaks, as though contemplative. nobody has any right to judge any other person, huh. by that logic, at any rate-- maybe the real world works a little differently, but the principle of the matter is fairly similar.

then, there's mild amusement, here. almost off of a tangent-- ]

Counting coins, taking money, scanning barcodes, and giving change. It's hard work for a 100-year-old man like me, you know.
