A. The mundane!

3) > Off to school you go. Class, quizzes, creepy teachers, clubs, and Social Linking ahoy!

4) > So you need some money to buy that Rise doll you saw at Junes, why not get a job? Frustrating co-workers, meeting people you may or may not recognize as customers. Get ready for the usual "I didn't know you worked here!" talk, because it's coming your way.

B. The extraordinary!

1) > You wake up on a mysterious train, and so has the person right next to you. You have no idea what train this is, where it's headed, or how you came to be there, and it seems like neither does your new friend. Why not chat about it?

2) > Your first venture inside the TV World. How does it go? How do you get there? And most importantly, who are you going with?

3) > There are three enemies! But holy shit this is your first fight, how are you going to handle this? Good thing you've got party members to help you out!

[ .. welp, the pause is definitely curious. he watches ryouku quietly while he speaks, as though contemplative. nobody has any right to judge any other person, huh. by that logic, at any rate-- maybe the real world works a little differently, but the principle of the matter is fairly similar.

then, there's mild amusement, here. almost off of a tangent-- ]

What's your line of work?

[bystander]

Counting coins, taking money, scanning barcodes, and giving change. It's hard work for a 100-year-old man like me, you know.

[reveiller]

[ he laughs a little, here. ]

It'd thought that it might be a line of work that gets you into contact with a lot of different sorts of people.

[bystander]

Like a psychiatrist? Nah, I don't have a degree for that.

[reveiller]

Or maybe a gondola boatman.

[bystander]

A gondola what?

[Because really... what the heck is that.]

[reveiller]

Like a person who steers one of those boats in Venice.

[bystander]

Venice... Italy? Italy, right? Looks kinda hard to do, but I haven't ever rowed a boat before.

[reveiller]

I've seen boatmen that also had to sing. It's kind of neat, actually.

[bystander]

Singing, rowing the boat, and socializing with the people he's ferrying... A gondola boatman sounds like quite the multitasker.

[reveiller]

Someone like that must be a remarkable individual, right? Maybe that could be your next occupation.

[bystander]

Nah, I'll pass. I'd rather not sing.

But why something that interacts with people?

[reveiller]

Mm, just a feeling. You talk like someone who's met all sorts.

[bystander]

You would expect that from somebody who's a hundred years old, right? [A chuckle.] Unless I was a shut-in.

[reveiller]

But that says something, doesn't it?

[ he leans back. ] You could've been a shut-in. But you weren't.

[ you could've had the choice of being able to shut yourself away-- if it's a life as long as that, then it's only natural for you to get sick of living. but you're still talking to people, and that says something. ]

[bystander]

Hmm. I had my moments. [Of what exactly, he doesn't say, but gives a small smile.] But it doesn't really accomplish anything worthwhile.

[reveiller]

[ moments, huh. agreeably-- ]

I guess it doesn't.

[ ... and here, he lets the silence sit for a moment but for the sound of the rattling train. ]

[bystander]

[He likes this moment of silence as he leans over in the opposite direction of where Fuji is sitting and sighs.]

How old are you? 16? 17?

[reveiller]

[ at the interruption of the silence, he glances over, amused. ] Is that how old I look?

[bystander]

Yeah... and your way of thinking. I would have pegged you for a year or two higher than that, but... [Your height.]

[reveiller]

[ ... hey, he resents that. ] ... don't write my future off so quickly. I'm still growing, you know?

[bystander]

So you're younger than that? 14? 15? I'm surprised.

[reveiller]

Mm, I'm fourteen. But age is really just a technicality. If we're going by birthdays, I really am still only three.

[bystander]

Ah, so a leap year birthday. At least you weren't born on a date like November 31. [A chuckle here... Ryouku definitely thinks better of Fuji by now. WHY IS HE WISE FOR HIS AGE.]

[reveiller]

[ because tennis makes people wise?? ]

Is that when you were born, a hundred years ago?
