This game is revving to go, so we're going to start things off with a pre-opening TEST DRIVE MEME. This meme will be open up until the game opens properly, so please keep checking back with it and tag anyone who posts a little later. :)

TO START US OFF....

A. The mundane!

4) > So you need some money to buy that Rise doll you saw at Junes, why not get a job? Frustrating co-workers, meeting people you may or may not recognize as customers. Get ready for the usual "I didn't know you worked here!" talk, because it's coming your way.

B. The extraordinary!

1) > You wake up on a mysterious train, and so has the person right next to you. You have no idea what train this is, where it's headed, or how you came to be there, and it seems like neither does your new friend. Why not chat about it?

2) > Your first venture inside the TV World. How does it go? How do you get there? And most importantly, who are you going with?

3) > There are three enemies! But holy shit this is your first fight, how are you going to handle this? Good thing you've got party members to help you out!

[Aw, Rita's so adorable and less scream-y when she's fast asleep.]

Mmn... [Rita appears to be aware there's someone next to her, as she stirs.] What time is it...? And why are we moving? [She doesn't consciously notice, let alone recognize, the woman next to her.]

[Having only just woken up herself, Judith takes the opportunity to stand and investigate their little cabin. Nothing much to see, apart from rolling fields of farmland outside the window.]

[She turns at the sound of Rita's voice.]

I would say noon, if I were to guess.

[Mmm, this was honestly what she really needed right now, even if she kept denying it. After seeing the restaurant, she decides to take herself and Rita in there.

Never before did she really understand what 'comfort food' was, but this certainly did wonder.]

It's so delicious!

[blahblahblah]

[Rita almost doesn't answer by virtue of her mouth being full.] Thish stuff ish good. [She swallows.] This was a good idea, Estelle. I don't think I would have come in here by myself.

[She glares down at the bowl.] I still can't see the rice...

[firstaid]

Neither can I. It's... all noodles.

[But it's still so good. After a moment, she sets her fork down in favor of chopsticks. She had been learning how to use them, and believed she had a good grasp. Picking up a good amount of noodles with them, she slurps them into her mouth.]

It's amazing how the taste changes ever so subtly with what kind of utensil you use! There's a much softer taste to the noodles with the chopsticks.

[blahblahblah]

Oh? Maybe I'll try that, then.

[High dexterity go! Rita picks up a pair of chopsticks herself, and attacks the bowl once again...! Only to drop the food she was trying to get at. Several more tries end in failure, before she scowls at the bowl and - with obvious effort - puts down the chopsticks in a controlled manner.]

I hate these things! They're unnecessarily complicated! I knew there was a good reason I hadn't seen them before.

[firstaid]

[Seeing her friend's effort, she smiles, holding back a few giggles. It took her some time as well to learn how to use them, but her stubbornness wouldn't allow her to give up until she knew how.]

Maybe later on I can let you borrow the book that I learned from! They're honestly quite easy to use once you get used to them.

[A children's book, but the pictures and descriptions helped immensely.]

Oh! I think I'm starting to see the rice now! [And getting insanely full...]

[blahblahblah]

I think I'll deal with being an unwashed heathen and use a fork, thanks. I've got a lot of other research to finish before I have free time for pleasure reading... starting with how we got here from Terca Lumireis.

[She falls silent for a moment, then shakes her head.] But first I'm gonna give this beef bowl a piece of my mind! [And she keeps digging into it.]

[firstaid]

That is a good question, but everyone seems to be so vague in their answers.

[She goes back to her bowl, slurping up yet another batch of noodles. Not the most elegant sounding or looking, but it seems to be the culture here, so she hardly feels funny at all.

Then digging through the bowl with her chopsticks she finally sees the meet through the remaining noodles and all her rice.]

I'm not sure if I can eat all of this...

[blahblahblah]

Yeah, nobody seems to have anything useful to tell us. Maybe I can piece something together from the information we do have, and find some more.

As for this thing, I know the feeling... but I'm not gonna get beaten by something like this! I can beat monsters as tall as a house, I can finish a jumbo bowl of food! [Diligence? Nope. Courage? In spades.]

I'm sure you will be successful in that research. I have faith in you, Rita!

[Estelle is at least determined enough to finish the noodles. Perhaps she can take the rest home for a snack later. Well, there goes 3000 yen that she had earned, but she supposes it's not all too bad considering it will give her a few meals. Still, that's a lot of money...] Maybe one day we will be able to complete this challenge! I will have to admit defeat today. My stomach feels like it can't take too much more.

(You see a large man with long fiery hair coming out of one of the Junes stores. He has spiked bracers on each arm and a spiked collar. He seems infuriated.)

What is with this place?! They have no good materials what so ever! I couldn't even build a Bill Blaster if I wanted to!

Well, yeah. It's a general goods store. I don't know what exactly you're looking for, but I suspect you're better served in a hardware store. And that's if the materials even exist here. Inaba's a small town. I'm personally surprised it has running water. [And electricity, but she wasn't qualified to talk about that. Did... did all towns in this "Japan" have electricity?]

(Bowser grumbles a bit, not wanting to admit that Rita DOES have a point.)

You'd think that a place with this much advertisement would have the materials to at least build one of my weapons. I mean, in my kingdom if a store got this much buzz it was likely to sell materials for tanks!

That'd be all well and good if this weren't a demilitarized country. And even then, it's not like there's demand for tank parts in a little town in the middle of nowhere. Even small explosives and firearms are regulated here. There's a metalworks down the street, though; you might see if they have something you need.

[Rita gestures to the establishment in question, then sighs. She was starting to wish she had Estellise's talent for quoting books out of thin air, but being able to paraphrase would serve her purposes well enough.]

(Bowser looks at the metalworks and an evil looking smile crosses his face.)

Now that is what I'm talking about. Maybe I should make that my Keep in this world. I deserve to have only the best base after all! Put a few Bill Blasters and Chain Chomps at the entrance and a version of my glorious face and it will be...almost perfect...if only I could get some lava.

You can't do that! You're just going to get the military sent after you for building up an army. Besides, where are you going to get the money for all that? Processed goods are expensive, restricted materials even more so. Stick to something you can actually take with you for now. Work your way up... although I'm really hoping we're not here that long.

I'm getting the sense I don't want to visit your homeland. If you're talking about a keep with explosive armaments and lava then I think it's somewhere far too concerned with blowing each up for my tastes.

I'll answer those in order...One! I'm a king and as such I should get diplomatic immunity! Two! I am a KING! I'm the boss of Bwahaha! Money just falls into my claws! Three! I have a great layout for my traps and lava!

You don't have diplomatic immunity here, since you can't prove your country exists! You can't get money from your subjects here because we can't reach them!

...The third point is a matter of opinion, but I'm still liable to get show with something I don't want to deal with.
